Gerald M. F. Willoughby has over twenty years of progressively responsible staff and managerial experience in Human Resources. He has provided contract recruiting and HR consulting services since 1987.  

Possessing a strong background in Employment, College Relations, Policy Development, Workforce Planning, Operations, Outplacement and Transition Planning, Gerald has consulted to a variety of companies including LavaStorm, Incentive Systems, SmartTime Software, Children's Hospital, AT&T, Granite Systems, Powersoft Corporation, net.Genesis Corporation, Kronos Incorporated and Rosemount Corporation. Gerald is an alumnus of Advanced Internet Recruiting Strategies (AIRS I & II) Training.  

As a Human Resources professional and consultant, Gerald has:

• Designed and executed national recruiting strategies incorporating the use of direct sourcing, college recruiting, employee referral programs, media advertising, internet, job fairs and contingency placement firms.
• Recruited software engineers, systems, sales and marketing, operations, finance, MIS, senior managers, healthcare professionals and customer service representatives.
• Conceptualized and developed strategic/workforce planning programs.
• Consulted to line executives & management team on change activities having organizational impact.
• Led employee focus groups to discover and capitalize on information aimed at increasing employee retention.
• Consulted to senior management and line executives on issues regarding structure of total compensation plans.
• Served as a resource to both employees and managers in helping to resolve ER issues.

Gerald is a former member of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR) and a former member of Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA), Boston Human Resources Association (BHRA) and the Minority Human Resources Association (MIHRA). Prior to forming The Willoughby Group he held full-time positions as Staffing Manager, Corporate Human Resources Representative, Technical Recruiter, Senior Staffing Consultant and Compensation Analyst for The Miriam Hospital, Analog Devices, M/A-COM, Inc. and Sun Financial Group. Gerald has a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences and has completed several courses towards a Masters in Management.
