Director
Black Ministerial Alliance, Victory Generation After-School Program,
Dorchester, MA
Administered, coordinated and developed fourteen licensed Victory Generation
After-School Programs. Directed a staff of over 100 and created a professional
development plan to meet the developmental and spiritual needs of the staff.
Created partnerships with local community agencies to meet the academic and
social needs of the participating children and families. Oversaw the
implementation of programs designed to provide parents with the skill base
that allows them to effectively advocate for their children.
Additional responsibilities:
- Developed and managed short and long-term funding strategies.
- Developed funding proposals.
- Managed all aspects of
recruiting, hiring and supervising program staff.
- Created a central office
and established administrative policies and procedures.
- Developed curriculum and program materials and
provided strategic support to sites through on-site technical assistance.

of the program at each site to ensure consistency, quality and accuracy.
- Conducted on-site visits to monitor and evaluate
program effectiveness.

and allocation of grant funds.

Developed and implemented academic and extracurricular programs relating
to undergraduate and graduate students; planned and implemented academic policies,
procedures and systems, managed faculty development and personnel procedures;
coordinated cross-college curriculum and faculty development initiatives,
supervised professional staff. Directed the Research Partnership Program.
- Oversaw the Mentorship,
Externship, Science Alliance and Education for Action Programs, including
the development of funding strategies and resources; monitored and evaluated
the recruitment and retention rates for these programs.
- Chaired Celebrate Radcliffe
Day. Developed and direct the “Sisters Project”.
- Directed the day-to-day
functions of the Lyman Common Room including serving as chairperson of the
policy committee and supervising an eight-person staff comprised of graduate
and undergraduate students; co-chairperson of The Committee on The Concerns
of Women at Harvard/Radcliffe.
- Oversaw Women’s Information
Service Hotline (WISH), a database providing community outreach services for
women.

a $300K budget; developed, review and implemented policies relating to the
Office of the Radcliffe Dean.

fellowships and prizes offered by the Dean’s Office.

of Radcliffe’s undergraduate student organizations.

Coordinated all programs relating to issues of international students and

support services for the above-mentioned student populations. Developed the
concept, established the funding, designed the curriculum and hired the faculty
for the Career Awareness College Readiness Program, a four-year program for
high school students.
